Many Wi-Fi surveys focus on the signal strength from the APs, but as we've already mentioned, a blind focus on signal strength will just cause problems with your Wi-Fi (It's Not All About Signal Strength!).

Wi-Fi design revolves around the client applications and devices themselves, and it is the client experience that ultimately defines how well the Wi-Fi is performing.

So to validate Wi-Fi performance, we need to validate the client experience. This is where a specialist, industry recognised App that can be installed onto clients to validate the client experience, comes into its own.

The App logs, by time, by location and by device:

  • End-to-end performance, to determine whether performance issues are to do with the Wi-Fi, or the bigger network infrastructure.
  • RF related Wi-Fi problems, so that problems can be identified and their effect assessed.
  • Platform issues, to specifically detect roaming issues with client devices.

This allows problems affecting the performance of your Wi-Fi can be properly soak-tested and resolved. It will provide more detail about the Wi-Fi client experience than any Wi-Fi Management platform can, and it will also demonstrate where problems are not Wi-Fi related.

For a limited period of time, this App can be installed on your client devices using our licenses as part of our validation service to you. But, it you like the App, you can opt to purchase it from us and use if for you day-to-day Wi-Fi experience monitoring.
