We demonstrate how a basic survey and a detailed survey give quite different results. The basic survey shows excellent coverage which some organisations might use to sign off their Wi-Fi network, yet the detailed survey uncovers significant problems.

We outline how we can facilitate through services and the availability of an Open Source Appliance, shared access to government networks using govroam, a Public Sector Service provided by JISC, available for local authorities, the police, fire service and ambulance service, and it integrates with eduroam the service already in place for teaching in universities and the NHS. This access is in addition to internal secure networks.

We describe how Wi-Fi can play a big part in a Digital Transformation strategy, giving examples of Digital Transformation work within the NHS.
We have already helped with the Wi-Fi strategy of two NHS Trusts recently, these are Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals Trust and Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
